3. Develop teachers and leaders for the dissemination of the teachings of The Urantia Book.
UAI does not express opinions or take positions on political, social, or economic issues and does not identify itself with any nationality, race, or religion. We do encourage our members, as individuals, to become active and influential members of social, moral, economic, and political groups.
UAI is not a church or an organized religion. We do not compete with any faith or religion. UAI welcomes people of all faiths, races, and nationalities. We seek spiritual fellowship among all people of this world. True religion is the personal spiritual experience of each individual. UAI is a group endeavour by religionists who study The Urantia Book and are inspired by its revelatory teachings; people who wish to cooperate with all other religionists to achieve the spiritual, social, and moral regeneration of this world. UAI members come from many different religions and cultures and have a personal relationship with God that is inspired by The Urantia Book. The teachings of The Urantia Book call upon all people to share spiritual unity, not uniformity, meaning that while our beliefs may differ, our faith and destiny are the same.
Urantia Foundation is a non-profit, educational foundation that operates under a Declaration of Trust. It has been printing the book in English since 1955, and in recent years has been translating the book into many other languages of the world.
The home of Urantia Foundation, 533 Diversey Parkway, Chicago, Illinois, was built in 1908. Prior to publication of The Urantia Book, the building was used for regular meetings of early readers of the transcripts. The entire estate was bequeathed to the Urantia Foundation in 1969. Today it consists of offices, a basement for storage and shipping operations, a 'Forum room' for meetings and study groups, and two residential apartments.
The Urantia Book tells us: "The religious challenge of this age is to those farseeing and forward-looking men and women of spiritual insight who will dare to construct a new and appealing philosophy of living out of the enlarged and exquisitely integrated modern concepts of cosmic truth, universe beauty, and divine goodness." [p.43.3]
The teachings contained in The Urantia Book, when embraced in the hearts and minds of mankind, have the power to bring to reality the supernal message from the Master: "Peace on earth and good will among men."About The Urantia Book Fellowship
